Launched in 2015, New Music- New Horizons is a performance project focused on the addition of new works into the flute and guitar repertoire by emerging composers. Through close collaboration between the composers and performers, the works constituting New Music-New Horizons are unlike any other in the canon and delve into the performance art, noise music, improvisatory, and electro-acoustic genres. The program has been concertized in several major U.S. cities, and led to a lecture-recital at the Denver University Research and Performance Summit entitled The Musician, Actor, and Story-Teller as One: A Lecture-Recital on 21st Century Performance Art in Classical Chamber Music. New commissions are in progress and are continually being added to the program.
